Everything you need for printable worlds

Worldgenerator is a complete 3D editor for tabletop terrain, from the first hill to the finished print file. Here you see every feature in detail and what it is good for.

Multi-plate system

Your world doesn't have to fit on a single print bed. Create as many plates as you like, arrange them into one large playing field, and Worldgenerator holds them together seamlessly. Adjacent edges are aligned automatically so printed parts fit flush later. This lets you build battlefields many times larger than your printer.

Terrain sculpting

Shape hills, valleys, cliffs, and hollows directly in 3D. With brush tools you raise terrain, lower it, smooth rough spots, or level surfaces for buildings. The radius and strength of each brush are freely adjustable, from a fine path notch to an entire mountain range. Everything runs smoothly in the browser, with no prior modeling knowledge.

Asset library

Ready-made 3D objects wait in the sidebar, a growing, curated library of our own print-ready models, complemented by CC0 content from the online library. All bundled assets are cleared for commercial use and go straight into the export. No license fine print, no downloading from third-party sites.

Manifold export as STL & 3MF

One click produces a print-ready file per plate, either STL or 3MF. Every geometry is checked for manifold integrity before export and repaired automatically: no holes, no inverted normals, no open edges that trip up the slicer. You also get a report with dimensions, volume, and estimated PLA weight per plate.

Real scales & D&D grid

Terrain is only useful when the sizes are right. Worldgenerator works with real millimeter measurements and ships with presets for common tabletop grids, such as D&D at 1 square = 25.4 mm (1 inch). You define how many millimeters a grid square represents and see scale references live in the scene. That way minis, doors, and cover fit exactly afterward.

Cloud projects & autosave

With a free account you store your worlds in the cloud and keep working on them from any computer. Autosave secures your progress every five minutes, and the project overview shows a preview for each world. Without an account you can still start right away; your work is then saved locally in the browser.

Community gallery

Upload your finished worlds to the community gallery and browse other people's creations. If you like a build, use it as a starting point for your own project. The gallery is both a source of inspiration and a shared asset collection, built to connect tabletop hobbyists.

Auto-scaling on import

When you import your own model, it's rarely at the right scale. Worldgenerator detects the extent of the geometry and automatically scales it down to a sensible tabletop size, with no manual trial and error using factors. Afterward you fine-tune the size in a single step if needed.

Ground adjustment to objects

When you place an object on uneven terrain, Worldgenerator raises the ground beneath it to match, so barrels, trees, and buildings sit cleanly instead of floating in the air or sinking halfway into a slope. This saves tedious height adjustments and ensures clean, printable transitions between object and ground.

Blender-style transform tools

Move, rotate, scale, with familiar gizmos and keyboard shortcuts modeled on Blender. Axes can be snapped, objects duplicated and precisely aligned. Anyone who has worked in a 3D program before feels at home immediately; everyone else reaches the goal just as well via visible handles.

The fastest way to understand it is by building.
